Community Rules

These rules cover the forums, the website and the realm itself. Staff may act on anything that breaks their spirit, not only their letter.

The Public Alpha

Gates Reawakened is in public alpha. The game is playable but unfinished, and while we test it:

Rollbacks happen. If something breaks — a duplicated item, a broken quest, a bad update — the realm may be restored to an earlier save, and anything earned after it is lost.
Wipes happen. Characters, items and gold may be reset, at the end of the alpha or in the middle of it. Nothing earned now is guaranteed to carry over.
Things change. Classes, items, quests, maps and prices are rebalanced as we learn. Downtime for updates can come at short notice.
Exploits are bugs. Report them; do not use them. Deliberately abusing a bug, tampering with the client or its traffic, or attacking the server ends your alpha access. The server keeps a log of what it refuses.

Found something broken? Tell us on the forums — what you were doing, where, and roughly when helps us find it fast.

Be respectful. No harassment, slurs, threats or personal attacks. Criticise ideas, not people.
Stay on topic. Post in the board that fits. Staff may move topics without notice.
No spam. No advertising, repeated posts, chain messages or link farming.
Keep it clean. No explicit, graphic or illegal content, and nothing that would not be fine for a general audience.
Protect privacy. Never post anyone's personal information, including your own account details.
One account per person. Alternate accounts used to dodge a suspension will be banned.
Bug reports: one issue per topic, with the steps that caused it. Exploits go to staff privately, not on public boards.
